The Bubble Monster Strikes Again

The Bubble Monster art car was created by Sonny, a 93 Toyota Camry 4 door turned into a 2 door sculpted using spray foam.

It's an interactive art car that makes bubbles that come out from the tail, eyes, nose, teeth  and the main body. It also has a nifty tunnel so
kids can crawl through the car.

Sonny is also working on adding more interactive features to the Bubble Monster and is available for parties and corporate gigs. Nice work Sonny.

this Dragon Corvette is considered ugly but here its an art car in "process". Even though it was voted "single worst custom Corvette in history" it will find save haven here with the rest of us who took perfectly good cars and added "personal" touches. It was built on the frame of a 1986 Yugo Cabrio with 38k Miles by the owners grandfather after it the body was badly damaged in a freak hailstorm. Grandpa got this crazy idea in his head to turn this thing into a whale car. How weird, you wake up one day and decide to make an art car, you start building, people think you are strange and your whole life makes a turn for the interesting.

Anyways, the WhaleMobile has new tires, working headlights, a lever inside the cockpit controls the whale tail and a working blow hole that shoots water. Perfect for parades and kids parties, not street legal yet but I am sure its sea worthy.

Gator Bike covered in Alligator skin to the rescue

Jim Jablon didn't want his alligator skin to go to waste so he covered his motorcycle and making it the fastest road kill on record. It was given away in a charity fundraiser for an animal rehab center that has rescued dozens of exotic pets, including this albino Burmese python named Arctic.

The skin is detachable but the head is fixed perm-anently into the handlebars and has the speedometer implanted into the back of the skull.

Flamingo Art Cars and Bikes Take Off

I've always thought it would be great to cover a car in pink flamingos so this is the next best thing for me, blog entry filled with flamingo cars and bikes. Its also funny to me how different each art car is from each other, ranging from mounted flamingos to painted flamingos. I like this first one, with a few flamingos mounted high up on poles on a jet black car, very striking(sorry no more drive through for you). I also included an art car with a wanted sign asking people for flamingos to take his current art car to the next level. And lets not forget the flamingo art bikes. The Iguana Art Car is a one of a kind art car and is for sale on ebay for only $2,500. It is a 2000 Dodge Caravan (with a trailer) that has been converted into a 42 ft iguana that gets a lot of attention everywhere it goes. Really? Wow had no idea that car like that would get so much attention. It took the artist 2 months to build it, and now they want to part with it. I love it.

Hello- David Hervey here. I am a painter and musician from Wilmington, NC. I grew up at the beach and have enjoyed art and music since a young age. I started my painting career shortly after graduating from ECU in the spring of 1997. My main media interests are in acrylic painting as well as mask and puppet making. Recently, I have started custom painting guitars to get a true one-of-a-kind instrument look. I draw my inspiration from God my creator, and from my awesome friends and family. I love to spark feelings of happiness in my paintings, though serious subject matter is often portrayed as well. The AQUA MOBILE is the creation of Don Ehlen, a Seattle-based entomologist and educator. The car is a great example of a simple concept art car, basically just a great paint job, although 3-D features have begun to creep in: a fully inflated plastic blowfish atop the radio antenna, a crab creeping out over the rear license plate, and a red plastic lobster at the front. Inspiration for the GI-Joe Cobra Rattler Art Car


I finally got around to the most sought after car in the world, the snake art car because last week was like snake central. I go a second email from Kevin owner of the Hundai Cobra Art Car shown above explaining to me why he though his cobra car was a good candidate for art car central. Then I kept finding snake pens around the house and one in the car when my phone went missing. Then I went to the county faire and my kids wanted to see the snake exhibit. Snakes every where, so I finally gave in and decided to get this over with and post Kevin's cobra art car. I showed Kevin the real snake car and asked him if he though his car was up to par for consideration to ACC, here is what he said:

"I'm sure you will see that the whole car is in theme of a G.I.Joe/Cobra Vehicle and a lot of effort and design went into it. While I enjoyed the cobra car link you sent me I feel as though my car has a lot more artistic design complexity over a simple repeating snake scale pattern wrap on a car.

I'm also including a pic of the cobra rattler toy that my car's theme is based on, please view it to compare my car and the the theme I'm trying to achieve.

Thanks again, your blog is fun to look at!"
