The Honda Zeppelin was a design created by Myung Jin Jung, a student of Hongik University's car design course. The Zeppelin was created for his final year thesis - for 2008 the brief was to design a luxurious sedan for the future.

The Honda Zeppelin was partially inspired, as the name suggests, by airships. The impression of mass was achieved by mixing elements of soft volume from an airship, and powerful lines common to luxurious automobiles. One of the more unusual features of the Honda Zeppelin is the asymmetric styling line which runs from the hood, along the roofline, and all the way to the rear end. Another unique feature is the slit-like windscreen which can be used in the design thanks to a comprehensive video display on the inside - which gives the driver far greater field-of-vision than the windscreen alone could provide.

The interior of the Honda Zeppelin, which was influenced by cozy salons and first class seating in aircraft, is accessed through large gullwing doors on either side. To increase the versatility of the interior the Honda Zeppelin is fitted with swiveling front seats which can be turned through 180 degrees to face the rear seats, this layout is called "Entertainment Mode". The interior is also equipped with a premium sound system from Bowers & Wilkins.
